PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Technologies (2022, Carlos III University of Madrid) with a background in BsC in Optics and Optometry. He has been named an MIT Innovator Under 35 Europe by the prestigious MIT Technology Review journal and awarded the Extraordinary PhD Thesis award by University Carlos III, Best Spanish Patent of a Young Inventor 2023 by the Spanish Patent Office, Talent and Technology PhD award by Ayuntamiento de Madrid, and Entrepreneurship and Transfer Award CSIC 2024

PhD in Vision Science (2009, University of Valladolid), he is Vinculated Doctor at the Institute of Optics, (IO-CSIC, Madrid), and currently on transfer leave as CEO of 2EyesVision (a spin-off company of CSIC). He has published more than 60 research papers. He holds 23 families of patents, 13 of them licensed to different industries. He has been principal investigator in 21 research projects. He was winner of the Best Patent of the Year (twice, 2010 and 2017; Madrid Reginal Government, Madri+d Foundation), Best business plan based on a doctoral Thesis (2011 University of Valladolid), and Premio Física, Innovación y Tecnología 2019 (Premios de Física de la Real Sociedad Española de Física RSEF-Fundación BBVA)
